Pointe Shoes

Pointe shoes are always exciting when first purchased, tried on and of course danced in, but, there are certain important facts. This guide should help you with your pointe shoes.

Pointe Shoes

Pros: They are a great way to strenghthen feet, they elevate you on certain steps, the toe pads keep your feet from the hard wood, They are required for certain major exams, and of course they make you feel confident while dancing.

Cons: Now there are many more cons than pros. They can irritate your feet, they can bruise your toes and ankles, if you have cuts of any sort, pointe shoes can make your feet bleed, it's quite hard to break them in, the wood is not comfortable, if your feet are not warmed up you could break an ankle.

Always remember if you are on a slippery surface to put lots of rosin on.

Label, Label, Label: It is important to put your name on everthing because everyone is wearing the same costume.
